Monitor Calibration
Great News for Digital Photographers - Digital imaging has been without
doubt the most significant and exciting photographic development in
recent years. The Society has now purchased two monitor calibration
devices.
For a fee of £5 per year members of the Society can now periodically
borrow a monitor calibration device to ensure their monitors are set
up correctly. Our monitor calibration kit is one of the best on the
market - the Monaco Optix Pro that can not only calibrate and profile
your monitor, but also evaluate its performance so that you can track
any change in its characteristics.
Procedure for registration
You can register for use of a Monitor Calibrator by completing a subscription
registration form and paying £5 to the Treasurer at any regular meeting.
Procedure for usage
John Beavan looks after the Monitor Calibrators and will be able to supply it to you.
It is always a good idea to contact him
in advance to make sure that nobody else is planning on booking one out at the same
time as you plan to use it.
It is normally expected that it be returned the following week for use by other members.
Full instructions for usage of the device are provided with the kit.
Compatible with: Windows XP
Windows Vista and Windows 7 users can find more details about drivers support
for the MonacoOPTIX calibrator on the
X-Rite website.
